State Treasurer Curtis Loftis Announces Future Scholar Holler Sweepstakes Winners

South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis announced the winners of the second annual Future Scholar Holler Sweepstakes.

Sarah Christopher of Awendaw, SC, submitted a photograph entitled “Our two baby tigers! Class of 2038 and Class of 2039!” that was selected as winner of the Clemson prize pack, and Kimberly Ahtonen of Bishopville won the Carolina prize pack with her photo “Loved meeting Cocky” which featured her son and daughter with the USC mascot.

The Christopher family will receive tickets to this weekend’s Clemson-NC State game, a tour of Memorial Stadium, an autographed item from Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney and a privately-funded $529 Future Scholar grant.

The Ahtonen family will receive tickets to next weekend’s Carolina-Tennessee game, sideline passes, an autographed item from Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp and a privately-funded $529 Future Scholar grant.

Treasurer Loftis and the families will participate in an on-field presentation with a $529 Future Scholar big check at each game.

“Let’s give a holler for the 500 entries we received for this year’s sweepstakes!” said Treasurer Loftis. “We want to thank our Clemson and Carolina fans for sharing their team spirit and congratulate the Christophers and Antonens on getting a boost to their children’s Future Scholar college savings accounts.”
