Treasurer Loftis to Throw Out First Pitch at RiverDogs Home Opener

South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis will help the Charleston RiverDogs kickoff their season by throwing out the first pitch at their home opener tonight. Treasurer Loftis will attend the game representing South Carolina’s Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan.

“There is no better way for families to combat the rising cost of higher education than to enroll in a Future Scholar 529 College Savings Plan,” said Treasurer Loftis. “I look forward to participating in ‘Opening Day at The Joe’ to highlight our Future Scholar plan.”

Representatives from Future Scholar will be in attendance to help answer questions and guide fans through the process. The first 5,000 fans will receive a RiverDogs schedule magnet, sponsored by Future Scholar. Treasurer Loftis is expected to throw out the first pitch around 7:00P.M.
