"It's important to start teaching financial literacy to kids when they're young," said Treasurer Loftis. "Through online simulations and games, the Future Scholar Financial Literacy Program will help set our students on a path to financial security and a successful life.”

State Representative Robert Williams was also on hand for the visit, which recognized Teachers of the Month Christopher Lewis and Vionna Cooper.

"From working in middle and high schools, one of the biggest roadblocks I have seen is debt,” Lewis said. “With this program in elementary school, it will get our kids to think about saving money and spending money correctly."
