Deadline Approaches for Teachers to Register for “Dear Mr. Treasurer” Activity

Columbia, S.C.  (November 18, 2025) – The South Carolina State Treasurer’s Office is issuing a final call for 3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th grade teachers to register their classrooms for the “Dear Mr. Treasurer” financial literacy activity.  With the December 1^st deadline quickly approaching, teachers are encouraged to sign up now to ensure they receive their free classroom kit.

Hundreds of teachers have already registered for the activity, which invites students to write a letter to the State Treasurer about what savings means to them—encouraging creativity while building important financial literacy skills.
