Treasurer Loftis accepts $197,000 rebate check on behalf of South Carolina from Wells Fargo

Treasurer Loftis accepts $197,360.57 rebate check on behalf of South Carolina from Mara Holley, Wells Fargo Regional Vice President; Brent Weaver, Wells Fargo Government and Institutional Banking Relationship Manager and Vice President; and Kristin Cooper, Wells Fargo Treasury Management Sales Consultant.

Today, State Treasurer Curtis Loftis accepted a rebate check of $197,360.57 on behalf of the State of South Carolina from officials at Wells Fargo. This figure represents the revenue share for the 2013 calendar year from a cash management tool being employed by the State Treasurer’s Office.

State Treasurer Loftis stated, "Each day, the hardworking staff of the State Treasurer's Office finds ways to save taxpayer money. This check of almost $200,000 from Wells Fargo is another example of how our office consistently analyzes our business practices and works directly with banks to improve services and savings for the taxpayers of South Carolina."

"Wells Fargo and the State Treasurer's Office have a common goal of serving the people of South Carolina, and I appreciate their help in streamlining the way our state does business. Any day I can improve our state's efficiency, and put $200,000 into our state's general fund, is a great day,” he continued.
