State Treasurer Curtis Loftis Speaks at Bob Jones University

Greenville, S.C. – South Carolina State Treasurer Curtis Loftis will be speaking with two Bob Jones University Foundations of Economics classes on Thurs., Sept. 19. Students will learn about the duties and responsibilities of the State Treasurer followed by a discussion on the current state of the economy.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to speak with these bright students on this beautiful campus,” Loftis said. The speaking engagement is part of the State Treasurer’s ongoing effort to improve financial literacy across the state.

 In addition to teaching the two classes, Loftis will be touring the campus and attending chapel with the student body.

 Loftis took office on Jan. 12, 2011. As Treasurer, he manages $40 billion in state investments and assets.
