South Carolina Treasurer Curtis Loftis has named Ken Earley as the agency’s new Director of Information Technology.

With more than 25 years of IT industry experience, Earley has held management and technical positions at law firms, financial institutions, internet companies and tax franchise organizations. He has received recognition for his contributions in modernizing bank acquisitions through virtualization, developed nationally used tax software, and served as the Information Security Officer for several organizations.

“I am happy to congratulate Ken on his recent promotion to lead our IT Division,” said Treasurer Loftis. “Ken’s extensive background in IT, especially in the areas of law, finance and cybersecurity make him a wonderful fit for our agency’s ongoing efforts to ensure we protect the highly sensitive data we generate as the bank for state government. I wish him continued success in his new role.”

Before joining the Treasurer’s office in 2017, Earley worked in IT sales and served as the IT Director for Turner Padget Graham & Laney PA. He most recently served as the agency’s Assistant IT Director.

An Irmo resident, Earley is a graduate of Old Dominion University with a BS degree in Computer Science.
