"It's important that all South Carolinians and South Carolina businesses know about the Unclaimed Property Program," said Treasurer Curtis Loftis. "Everyone should check their name, especially since it's free and only takes a few seconds. You may be surprised with money waiting for you!"

Examples of the type of property covered by the Unclaimed Property Program include bank accounts, stock certificates, checks, insurance policies and utility deposits. The Unclaimed Property Program does not include tangible property like land or vehicles.
