"We are continuing to return unclaimed property to the people of South Carolina," said Treasurer Loftis. "My staff and I are working hard to get the money back to the rightful owners, and I am proud of how much money we return on a daily and monthly basis. Everyone should check their name because you could have money waiting for you!"

Examples of the type of property covered by the Unclaimed Property Program include bank accounts, stock certificates, checks, insurance policies and utility deposits. The Unclaimed Property Program does not include tangible property like land or vehicles.
