More than $650,000 in Unclaimed Property Returned

Columbia, SC - State Treasurer Curtis Loftis signed letters returning $669,667.37 in unclaimed property.

"Checking your name for unclaimed property is free and easy to do," said Treasurer Loftis. "You could have money waiting for you that you don't even know about!"

Examples of the type of property covered by the Unclaimed Property Program include bank accounts, stock certificates, checks, insurance policies and utility deposits. The Unclaimed Property Program does not include tangible property like land or vehicles.
